Table light vs pendant light fitting

The ‘table lamp’ fitting will have the bulb holder positioned at the bottom of the lampshade and the ‘pendant light’ fitting will have the bulb holder at the top of the lampshade. Unlike our larger lampshade size, the fitting on the Baby Wavy is not reversible, so please ensure you choose the correct fitting, according to your intended lamp.

Colour

This lampshade is made from a fine layer of genuine cork.  There’s a tonal fine cotton trim on the top edge of the lampshade. To emphasise the beauty of the sculptural shape, there is no bottom trim on this lampshade. Please note that the lining has a gentle sheen to it and that shine can be seen through the natural gaps in the cork chips when it’s placed in or under direct light.

Dimensions

The base of the lampshade is 31cm diameter at its widest point and 7cm diameter at the top of the lampshade. The actual height of the lampshade is 16cm. The slope height is 18cm. The bulb holder ring is 4cm up from the base of the lampshade.

Lampshade Fitting

The lampshade will fit European lamp holders, and a converter/reducer adaptor ring is supplied to reduce the aperture, allowing it to fit UK lamp holders.

The Baby Wavy lampshade is small, so the bulb holder will need to be angled to one side to allow access for the bulb, then moved back to its original position once the bulb is in place.

If using on a wall light, please ensure the arm on the lamp projects from the wall by a minimum of 17cm to allow adequate space for the lampshade.

Lining

The opaque PVC lining used to make this lampshade will allow an amount of light through the shade, creating a gentle glow when lit and highlighting the unique texture of the cork.

The lampshade frame has been sprayed brown to match the lining and the outer colour of the lampshade.

20% VAT will be added to the price of this lampshade at the checkout.

Care Instructions

Do not get the lampshade wet or place it in direct sunlight in case of fading. Please only use with a small LED candle-shaped bulb.
